The Writers' Greenhouse Community

Join the monthly online membership to develop your writing, get expert advice on tap, and connect with your writing community.

As writers, we don’t work best in lonely garrets, figuring everything out for ourselves, wrestling through anguish on our own: we flourish in community, with help. The Writers’ Greenhouse Community gives you affordable expert help with your writing, inspiration and encouragement, and a community of writer friends.

  • Expert advice with your writing: Whatever you need advice on – a plot issue, a mental block, a genre dilemma, a question on layout or publishing – you can just ask me. Live on Zoom, or any time in the Community group. I’m here to help.
  • Inspiration and encouragement: Your membership will inspire and encourage you to create new ideas or improve your existing story / poems, develop joyful stable writing habits, and send your writing out.
  • A community of writer friends: Get to know other people who love writing through live chats, online posts, and swapping feedback. And if you don’t have a writing group, this is how to find one!

Will this work for me?

  • Can I join from anywhere? Yes: everything’s online, so you can be anywhere in the world.
  • I’m a complete beginner, though. Brilliant! You’ll be starting your writing journey in amazing company and the weekly Writing Skills will help you create ideas of things to write.
  • I’m already published: will this help me? Absolutely. A number of people in the Community are, and we always need other writers around us and to keep developing our skills and habits.
  • How much time will this take? To make the most of it, 15–30 mins a week and an extra 50 mins a month for the Writing Boost session. Plus your own writing time, which the Writing Boosts and Trellising will help you adjust to suit you.
